🙏 With thanks to Glitchcat7, who I saw streaming this concept of a playthrough, which gave me the idea to try writing a whole walkthrough out for it.

Complete all of the following objectives within the bounds of what can be accomplished on an original copy of the game without the use of memory editing tools. (Mutually exclusive tasks, aka “alternate timelines”, will require you to reset or intentionally Game Over and repeat some tasks.)
- Open every permanently-emptiable treasure chest
- Obtain a reward from every sidequest once, and obtain all freestanding collectibles.
- Own every item at least once
- Use every battle item at least once that produces a unique animation or effect
- Defeat one of every unique enemy.
- Complete all boss fights.
- 99 FP
- 250 Jump counter
- All X menu options unlocked
- All characters to level 30 with max base stat total (no swap glitch)
- Read every unique overworld and battle textbox.
- View all three alternate Fireworks sequences in the ending credits
(The above criteria is a superset of explicit goals that are in the spirit of this playthrough, such as “Open every map area”, “Perform 100 Super Jumps”, “View all Psychopaths”, “Unlock all spells”, etc)
- Requirement #2 implies that you do not need to max out win counter on Grate Guy
- Requirement #4 implies that you do not have to use Wilt Shroom, Rotten Mush, or Moldy Mush if you have used a regular Mushroom.
- To fulfill requirement #5, the battle in which you defeated the enemy must either be completed, or result in a Game Over. Lamb’s lure and Yoshi Cookie are both acceptable methods of defeat. If you completed the battle and play the Lucky minigame, the outcome has no impact on the validity of the battle for this requirement.
- Requirement #6 includes Booster and Dodo. You will keep the EXP from these fights when you “time-travel” to obtain their no-fight rewards.
- Requirement #9 detail: You are permitted to use Mack Skip to obtain alternate dialogs in fulfilment of requirement #11. However, you must reset after getting what you need, as completing a save file that has performed Mack Skip violates requirement #9 by failing to unlock the Star Piece menu.
